We started the day off with Math 7 and then when we all joined together, we worked on reviewing vocab for the week and doing an empathy journal. In addition, students worked on a chemistry lab with their partners and then we finished the afternoon by reviewing sentence types. Their homework is listed below!
Homework Math 7: p. 8-9, #1-26 Vocabulary: Quiz on Wednesday (8/27) Math 8: read pp. 11-12, do p. 13, #4-28 grammar: write one sentence about Mary Celeste and one about Excalibur. In addition, tell me what your favorite E.A. Poe poem is! Welcome back! To start with learning vocabulary this year, we are going to focus on Latin & Greek root words and prefixes! Throughout August and September, our vocab lists and quizzes will be composed of these words. Learning these will help you decipher new vocabulary! But first, let's check in with Weird Al Yankovic....
