ELA WRITING: Choose one (and only one) item from each of your four lists (things that make me sad/scared/smile/angry) and write a paragraph for each item.
Each paragraph should be a well formed and keep all writing mechanics in mind. Remember: 1) have an idea in mind and stick to it (don't wander off topic); 2) organize your thoughts so that they aren't jumbled; 3) be unique, personal and write it in your own voice; 3) watch your word choice and be selective (remember, I should FEEL what you're feeling); 4) mind your sentence fluency and make sure there's a flow; 5) apply writing conventions such as proofreading and editing; 6) and finally, presentation matters! Make it neat, easy to read and be ready to share it with me, the reader.
In the end, you should have four different paragraphs (this is NOT an essay) that focus on one topic per paragraph.
ELA GRAMMAR: Each grade level will use their appropriate grammar books and do p. 47-50. Please tear them out of the books and make sure your name is on each before you turn them in. In addition, each of you is to write two unique sentences for each of the following: declarative, interrogative, exclamatory and imperative. So you should turn in two sheets, front and back, of grammar as well as 8 sentences on a loose leaf sheet of paper.
Math:
6th: p. 16, #2-20 even, on loose leaf
7th: p. 18, #5-17, on loose leaf
8th: p. 15, # 1-18, on loose leaf
In addition, remember Spelling homework is due tomorrow and there's a Spelling test on Friday.
