After reading the book and discovering her journey and everything she has been through I personally think her Higher has to be Brigitte. Lucky thought Brigitte would leave her and she would turn her back on Lucky. She thought Brigitte is all she has left and then she will take off, but in the meantime, Brigitte was making a plan of legally adopting Lucky and planing on staying at Hard Pan, California. She also planned on setting up a resturant. After all, I think Brigitte was her Higher Power, and Lucky held on to her, and Brigitte held onto Lucky.
Lucky is a 10 year old girl, she lives in Hard Pan, California. The population is 43. She has two friends, Lincoln and Miles. After her mother dies two years ago by being electrocuted, her father told his first ex-wife, Brigitte, to come to the United States from France. Lucky thinks that she will get tired of her job and just leave. She fears what a normal child doesn't have to conquer. She thinks she can just pack up one and decide to take off, and she could. Lucky soon discovers in order to overcome her fears of her fake mother leaving was to find her "Higher Power" that is basically where the title comes in. She sees three signs to leave, and then she heads out of town. She only takes her HMS Beagle, during a sandstorm. Outside of town she finds Miles, he is lost and injured due to the storm. Lucky takes Miles with her; they go for shelter in the dugouts near an abandoned mine and wait out the storm. Lincoln soon joined their journey. Lincoln tells them that the town is looking everywhere for them, and they will come for them. Before they leave she puts her mother's ashes out in the memorial service. Brigitte takes Lucky home and explain the adoption paper, Brigitte officially and legally adopting Lucky, Brigitte also explains how she plans to open a restaurant in Hard Pan. Before Lucky goes to sleep Lucky asks Brigitte what a scorum is, and Brigitte explains. Brigitte then says "If anybody hurt you, you know I'll rip their heart out." They stayed there and the beautiful story ends.

E•qual: adjective
Being the same in quantity, size, degree, or value. A person or thing considered to be the same as another in status or quality. I personally would blame equality. Imagine if this society would stop thinking about the color, gender, and rich or not. If this world would stop judging for pathetic things we would be happier and we would not be depressed. If people look at us and judge us for something we aren’t we will look back at the characteristics we don’t have, either being white, being pretty, or even being skinny. The girls in this society especially are being felt depressed or upset with the commercials that have perfect girls with no flaws and when they look in the mirror they hate what they see. Not just that but being bought down due to their weight too. The world also screws with our emotions when we know we won’t ever be like them. If we could share and if we would all are nice to each other rather than looking for the looks, maybe we’d be happier. We all should treat one another fairly. Story time I ran into my room and shut my door, screaming and crying was all being heard in this house. I was different. Really different, but that didn’t mean I was supposed to be treated like this. I was bought into my room like always. All my room contained was a wall full of mirrors hiding everything. Whenever I landed into my room I would see me. Nothing more, she wanted me to shame me about how I looked. It wasn’t my fault. I’m Emily; I have straight black long hair. I have Tics Disorder. I began slowly crying while watching myself in the mirror. I wish I was somebody else I thought. I then had enough I wanted myself to be normal and pretty. I wanted to be a pretty girl. I ran out of my room and went into my mother’s room and grabbed her makeup supplies. Christmas was cornering and I wanted to be prepared, I was the only child and would always get spoiled on that day. I was excited. I continued to get the makeup and went to my room. I carefully put the foundation and concealer on my pale face. I then applied my blush and mascara and eyeliner. I looked prettier than I usually do. I then washed my face; I knew I couldn’t keep it on. If my mom would see she would freak out. I ran into my covers and slowly lost conscious. I dreamt of Christmas. I woke up in the fire, I screamed and hollered. I knew I was going to die. I was too young though. I tried getting out but just couldn’t. I dropped to the ground and woke up in the hospital bed. I looked around trying to get used to my surrounding until I saw my mother crying next to me. “I’m so sorry, I love you for everything and you are my everything forgive me please” She said. I stared at her for a long minute then said “Okay” I didn’t know what else to say. Then my vision slowly started fading. “I shouldn’t have done that to her since she is going away.” I thought to my mind, did she say that since I was dying? Why she didn’t care was just because of how I looked? I mean she never treated my brother like that. Oh well I will be in a better place. I said and closed my eyes and drifted away from the pain. This story was supposed to explain that her mother didn’t care about her because of something she had no part of. She then cared at the end, which really didn’t matter because Emily was in a way better place. Altruism means being selfless for no reason and wanting to save a human, that is not related to you nor had any contact with you anytime in your life.
I believe that there is a thing as true altruism; we do things to help others and get some sort of benefit out of it even if we don’t know what we are getting out of it. Altruism is a strange thing that is mixed with being selfless and selfish. We might never know what pure altruism is. For instance when we see a spider most of us scream and kill it but some that have some sort of altruism would gently pick it up, whether it’s with a paper, tissue, or by hand they still didn’t kill it. Although we do think that it would benefit us, like maybe you look like a better person when you do it, but no one actually thinks about it but it’s still there. I grabbed my clothes and went downstairs and took a long warm shower. I put my hair in the water and soaked in until I got the shampoo out. I grabbed the bar of soap and closed my eyes and rubbed until I my face was covered in soap, then washed my face and peaked open my face and saw a spider with my naked eye. I slowly got out of the shower and closed the water. I got a hold of my clothes and quickly dressed after I was done, I grabbed a napkin and picked up the spider and put him gently outside. While I was outside I felt the cool breeze. “Omg. It’s so beautiful outside.” I then decided to go on a nice walk in the neighborhood. I grabbed my purse and ran outside. I walked till I reached the roads. I then spotted a teenage boy who was really close to the road while a bunch of other teenage guys shouted “Well, are you going to do it now? Stand in the middle of the road and wait!” I heard a voice. I watched as the boy started to walk as the others suddenly started pushing him. I was mad, furious at them all mostly the boy in front to took it over board and pushed aggressively on the road where he fell and laid there for five minutes in excruciating pain. I then saw a drunk driver rushing his car towards him I didn’t think but pushed every one of them and landed on top of him saving him yet injuring myself. It was black, and soon I woke up in the hospital bed when I saw the boy sitting next to me. He had bruises from being beat from the boys. I asked his name and he answered politely saying “Cameron” And soon asked his age. He was a 16 year old boy going through depression and had been bullied his whole life, and abused from his parents. I then felt myself losing conscious. I was dying, dying from a good cause I could smile now. I have helped a little boy with many problems for too young of an age. I told him my last words “Please don’t care about what they say. Just keep you head high!” With that I was gone. I wish he had used my words correctly. Money is a very interesting thing. Money is also a thing you could purchase almost anything you’ve ever wanted, something that everyone complains about saying, “I don’t have enough” and almost everyone says “I’d be much happier if I had more money.” So we all want to know if we did have more money will we be happier, also can money actually buy happiness? Well. In my perspective, Nope! Money is just paper that is labeled as the cure of happiness and happiness is a feeling. A feeling that everybody wants to feel but gets distracted with money and makes it “Money” a huge part of their lives but really money isn’t anything. Not feeling happiness is just a stage, a stage we will hopefully conquer. No matter how many times we say “When I have more money I’ll be happier.” No you really won’t. Money doesn’t buy happiness it makes us face the fact of never being happy! Money isn’t what can make anyone happy. If it even does. It’s a matter of time it’ll be gone. It never stays forever. Sooner or a later it’ll be gone. Happiness that is caused by money will stay for a period of time. Also people who think money could buy happiness are misleaded. Money doesn’t buy happiness its just a paper which causes some sort of satisfaction but remember there are more complications that is leaded in life from money. Never trust money when it comes to happiness. Money can buy loads of things but never happiness, for instance A young man around sixteen got 120 dollars for his birthday he will be very happy and excited for what he’ll spend with that much money but that happiness will only stay for a while. Also if you see the richer and higher classed people you would notice that they are greedy and more towards depressed. Why is that? Probably because they feel unwanted, or even unsatisfied with the life they are living. Even with that much money what can a human do? You can’t base you life with money becasuse money will never do that for you, never try to exceed the amount of money you get because its never worth it. Money will always try to take advantage from you. Never fall for the trick because you always end up tangled and trapped. Money for us as children is all about happiness because we are young and greedy. We never think of life without money because we simply don't want to. Money is something we will continue thinking about even when we understand money does not create happiness we will still go after it because it gives us a opportunity of little satisfacation. We all have to understand money is not the answer to happiness its just a piece of satisfacation. We all want to be happy and I believe the only secret of happiness is heping people and doing charity.
But Overall I don’t believe money is the cure to happiness, we should help the people around us. Now that's real happiness. This is the article I will read and answer questions on. I personally think this is really bad for our sun, and like they said if they keep using the suns energy like that they said "the sun could die out within three hundred to four hundred years. " I also think the WIT are really smart for finding this out. I don't know much about solar power, though I do know enough to realize what is happening. Solar power is the energy from the sun. It is collected by trapping the energy of the sun's rays. There is something called solar panel which is a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for producing electricity or heating. 1) Title, author, ISBN (this is the number listed near the barcode on the back of the book)
