The article says that solar panels drain the suns energy and right now it isn't much of a problem but if every house hold had one it would be a big problem. In the article WIT had said:" imagine a waterfall, dumping water. But you aren't catching the water in buckets, but rather sucking it in a vacuum cleaner. Eventually, you're going to suck in so much water that you drain the river above the waterfall completely." This means that with enough people the vacuuming we'll drain out our sun. Over time it would get colder and colder, and the sun would super nova a lot faster.
I think the company Halliburton was right to decline producing solar panels. This helps to stop their costumers buying solar panels which in term will help stop a drain on the sun's energy. They did also help their company by not being the company that helped burn out the sun. My opinion is that we have to reduce the amount of solar panels and nip this problem before it grows into something a lot harder to fix. All we have to do is make sure that people don't mass produce solar panels. One thing I do think though is that how Halliburton said is what good is an Earth with clean air and no Sun, well what good is an Earth with wasteland air and a Sun. We need to not depend to highly on fossil fuels for our energy because that contributes to global warming and pollution. And we needn't depend to highly on solar panels to fix a global warming problems because even though we think were doing good, we are now draining the sun. We need to find a way to cope with fossil fuels and solar panels we need an in-between, we have to do things like electric cars and clean energies, keeping the scale in between and not tipping it over each side. Each side meaning fossil fuels and solar panels.
