The world is going through a dark time and you've uncovered the secret to Time Travel. The problem? While you must leave today, you don't know where to go! Should you go to the past and perhaps find something to help prevent today's devastating situation or should you go into the future and live with future humans who've moved beyond this situation? You must make your choice quickly and never look back! Go!
Yesterday we watched the documentary Happy. Using what you learned from the video about what truly makes us happy (relationships, sense of self, helping others), write about what you do in your daily life to build a happy life.
Be specific. If you aren't doing anything, what could you do to change that? Your heart races as you approach the laboratory door. It's ajar, and you are certain you closed it when you left yesterday afternoon. Upon walking in, you see the mess and you realize: the experiment has gone incredibly wrong!
Option 1:A role model is a person you look up to. Before you begin writing, think about someone you look
up to. Why do you admire this person? Write a composition in which you explain to your classmates whom you admire and why you admire this person. Option 2: Your principal wants to invite a celebrity speaker to your school. Think about the celebrity you would choose to have speak; then, write a letter to persuade your principal to invite this person. Be sure to include convincing reasons and details to support your choice. A bucket list is a list you make of all of the things you'd like to experience/see/taste/do/etc. before you "kick the bucket". So now it's your turn, make a bucket list with 50 things on it! Go!
For thirty minutes, write about the most embarrassing experiences you've had!
Write a story about you finding a to-do list that belongs to a famous person. 30 minutes of writing... go!
(P.S. As you've learned, quality AND quantity counts. Follow the prompt.) |
