Nelson Mandela was a civil rights leader in South Africa. He fought against apartheid, a system where non-white citizens were segregated from whites and did not have equal rights. He served a good portion of his life in prison for his protests but became a symbol for his people. Later he would become president of his country. Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Mvezo, South Africa.. Mandela would spend the next 27 years in prison. His prison sentence brought international visibility to the anti-apartheid movement. He was finally released through international pressure in 1990.

2 No because there are a lot of students that are more educated then the United States's people. 3 Scores are lagging so much because students aren't getting a lot of education they need from teachers and there not trying hard enough. 4 My reaction was shocking, the U.S. should have more control over this and its a shame to have other people who don't even speak proper English. 5. The teachers should explain things to students more so they can understand what there doing. And, Increased use of outside resources. Improved design skills/ Attention audience. Change in student and teacher roles. Help low performing students in Mathematics. Physical fitness can help improve students learning. 1) Why is this important to know? 2) Who are the important people/places/things? 3) Is anything you learned surprising or new to you? 1) This is important because it's very generous thing for people to donate to food for the ones in need on a holiday, that cant afford it.
