1) Word of the day
2) Check out grades online: - journals are still being graded - I haven't added "creative expressions" yet (art!) - there is one Stranded quiz ungraded - Redos have not been graded yet (that's always last) 3) Write down whatever you would like to redo 4) Go to Prezi with your global climate change PBL partner - add your last names (use proper capitalization) - go over (with a fine toothed-comb!) grammar and spelling - add, underneath your names, who your target audience is (age level) - email me with the final URL and a note saying who your audience is 5) Start working on redo/missing work 6) Work on something QUIETLY until 9:45am 7) At that time, the people who did not present their PBL, website or Read All About It will present What to do this morning, after you've written down the word of the day:
1) Get a paper ready for your spelling pre-test (new rule: If you do not get a 100% on your spelling test, not only do you have to do the homework assigned, but for each word you misspell, you have to write it 100 times!) Proceed with the next steps until everyone is here and then I will call for you to pause so we can take the test! 2) Find your PBL partner and sit together, with a laptop 3) Take turns opening up your website and adding the following to your PORTFOLIO page on your own, personal website: -All about me Prezi URL - Your first PBL URL (Global Climate Change) -Your Read ALL About It URL -Adolescence Prezi URL 4) Once both of you have completed that, practice your PBL as a pair and once you are happy with that, take turns practicing your Read All About It Prezi... 5) Between 10 and 10:30 am we will be presenting the following: PBL (adolescence), Read All About it, and your personal websites (so far!) Each group should create a line graph, with labeled y and x axes, that shows the following information:
Each student studied for X number of hours and earned Y grade. Sarah studied for 4 hours and earned an 83% Billy Bob studied for 4 hours and earned an 81% Hillary studied for 2 hours and earned a 71% Catherine studied for 5 hours and earned an 89% Miles studied for 3 hours and earned a 74% Let's start with some spreadsheet basics.
