1) What did you read about today? Be specific.
1) The testimony continued. Mr. Jackson, one of the Shipley's attorney explained that leaving Danielle in the bathroom was a time out for her. Gray explained how he didn't have problems with Danielle until he married Gloria. Gray took her to therapy because she started having depression and parent-child problems. Danielle started getting out of bed in the middle of the night. She started stealing food that were rotten and were in the garbage. She wouldn't eat at dinner time, she wouldn't even come to the table. She started using the bathroom on the floor or anywhere she wanted too. Next Gray took her to the doctor's because she started losing hair, Gray would pull her ponytail but he denied ever pulling chunks of her hair. She would kick and scream around so Gray would smack her thighs, Soon she was taken out of the Shipley's household. Gray said that once they moved out of Vincennes things started improving. Soon they started seeing food disappear again and this time it was Amy. Amy started acting up and her parents thought she got her traits from her older sister. The day when Gray had a breathing problem Danielle was released from the center. After a while they moved to Crown Point. Amy started having potty problems too. They made her sleep in the bathroom so she wouldn't have as much problems. They started using a belt as a punishment. They would add pepper to her food so she would get her nutrients. Amy had fallen down 12 feet of stairs. The morning of Amy's death she was full of diarrhea. Gloria had called the ambulance and they had taken her away. She was dead. The judge started asking Gray some questions after he told his story. Louis was a guy who knew the Shimpley's really well he explained to the judge on how close he was and that there were no signs of psychical abuse in their house. Gloria denied giving Norco to Amy. The arguments started coming to a close and the judge told everyone to leave he had decided on what was right and what was wrong. The next day everyone came back and it was decided that Ms. Bell's side had won and that the Shimpley's had to remain in jail and were possible of hemocide and manslaughter. Gloria had started crying and was in need of Gray's comfort. Amy had justice now.
