I chose an article from The Northwest Indiana Times Newspaper. The article I chose was Environmentalists, unions seek to fix gas leaks

Environmentalists and unions are wanting to fix gas leaks. It could cause them up to $82. billion. The leaks are a big problem because they contribute to global warming. In 2011 it costed the American Gas Association billions in cost to fix/ repair. The partnership between unions and environmentalists is not that much of an achievement. They need to reduce the fossil fuel pollution. The union drill started supporting the drilling boom and environmentalists have started to push for bans on the hydraulic fracturing process. In 2011 a crack in a cast-iron main that was installed in 1928 helped to fuel an explosion and it killed 5 people and a lot of houses. They don't know exactly how much gas is leaking but it is at risk. There are about 500-700 miles being fixed each year. Fixing them will save lives and improve the air quality. It will also down climate change. The environmentalists and unions are focused more on the urban distribution pipelines because of public safety concerns.
That is what the article was about the unions and environmentalists that are trying to fix the gas leaks because they are causing harm to the environment.
